TAC Training

This course is designed primarily for new TACs, but any TAC wanting a "refresher" course is welcome to attend. It is also FREE OF CHARGE! This is an optional class that will go over the responsibilities of a TAC and help in how to perform these responsibilities. Some of the subjects covered will be the forms that need to be filled out, TAC transactions, setting up new users, running background checks, audits, testing, and training. This training does NOT give instruction on how to use UCJIS. A background in how to use UCJIS is not necessary, but would be helpful. The class will be very basic and is mainly geared towards new TACs and alternate TACs. If you are interested in attending this training please contact Jacob Dunn at 801-965-4963 or at jacobdunn@utah.gov. This training does not take place of the mandatory annual TAC Conference.

Topics Covered:

  • TAC duties
  • Adding users
  • Preparing for BCI audits
  • Forms - when do I use which form?
  • Performing background checks on users
  • Training and testing users
  • UCJIS basics

ATTENDING THIS COURSE DOES NOT TAKE THE PLACE OF ATTENDING THE MANDATORY YEARLY TAC CONFERENCE!

(Attendees may want to bring a jacket or sweater, as BCI's training room can get chilly!)
