On 5/15/2019 Three suspects attempted a home invasion robbery at 245 North Rendon Court in Salt Lake City. The Three kicked open the front door, entered and stole a small bag from the inside of the house.

They fled the scene on foot to 600 West 200 to 300 North. They entered a car driven by victim Abubakar. As Abubakar fled the area, someone fired shots into the vehicle, striking and killing Abubakar. The victim vehicle crashed into the round-about at 200 North 600 West.
