Smith was reported missing on 10/18/74 from Salt Lake County, Utah when she failed to return home. Her body was discovered on 10/27/74 near Toll Canyon, Timberline/Summit Park, Utah by a man who was hunting in the area. The Summit County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in their investigation by the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office. Smith is believed to be a victim of serial killer Theodore Bundy.
