On 10/26/2015 Frederick Gabriel was reported missing, his vehicle was found parked at the Woodenshoe Trailhead in San Juan County. It had been parked there for at least 2 weeks. He left his residence in Lehi after having a disagreement with his girlfriend and went to hike a trail he was very familiar with, the Woodenshoe Trailhead. He was last seen on this trail carrying a black and white dome tent, a green rain fly and a blue backpack.
