On February 7, 2017, 57 year old Jimmy Gerald Barney walked away from his home in Escalante, Utah. Leaving his car and everything behind, even his dog, which he never leaves behind. He did take a pistol with him. Many people joined in the search for Jimmy, including Escalante Search and Rescue, Department of Public Safety brought their Helicopter. Drones were also deployed without any sightings of Jimmy Barney.
