On 3/10/2023 Remains were found by a contractor conducting invasive plant species control efforts on the Great Salt Lake lake bed just west of Farmington. He observed what he believed to be a human bone floating in the water, so he exited the mower he was driving. It was at that point he located multiple other bones in the area. Through searches of the area, law enforcement personnel found various small pieces of at least two articles of clothing, an electronic device, and various other bones.
