Two park rangers checking a climbing area on the edge of Cedar Breaks cliffs near Sunset View in the Cedar Breaks National Monument discovered the remains of a man. The body was situated between two logs, doubled-over, about 300 feet from the highway. It was nearly out of sight. $1.51 and a flashlight were found on the body while an empty wallet, an empty metal suitcase, and a cane were found nearby. There was no identification of any kind. The body was sent to the state medical examiner in Salt Lake City. It was determined that the body was about 5 feet 9, slender, and between 50 and 60 years old. The man would’ve worn an 8.5 D shoe size. Foul play was also indicated though a cause of death could not be determined.
