Robert went missing back in 1986 and several days later his motorcycle was located in the highlands of Mountain Green. According to Lugo’s mother, he told her he was going backpacking in Mountain Green on a Wednesday and was supposed to be back that same Friday. Contact was made with the mother after his motorcycle was found by a local resident. A fairly large search was conducted including rescue dogs, airplanes and helicopters and several hundred people. No sign of Lugo was ever located. Lugo was possible suicidal.
