On June 9, 1994 the body of Zhigang Zhang was found floating in the Great Salt Lake near I-80 and Black Rock, West of the Marina. A wallet was found inside the victim’s jacket with a Montana Driver’s License, University ID, Credit Cards, Social Security Card and Cash. There were no signs of Trauma to the body.Zhang had booked a round-trip flight from Montana to Pennsylvania. Records show Zhang arriving in Salt Lake City but do not show him boarding a flight back.Zhang was a PHD Candidate who was from Main Land China. He had been in the US for 2+ years.
